Anthro Northwest 8 Art and Photo Showcase
Every year, Anthro Northwest hosts a showcase for furry artists and photografurs to share their works for free. It's pretty easy: We provide the space and you hang your pieces for the weekend!
Content Guidelines
- All pieces must be safe for work and comply with other standards of Anthro Northwest's Code of Conduct. Within those guidelines, topics can be most anything. Furry/fur-adjacent, animal, and nature topics are strongly encouraged.
- Photos of people or fursuits must have the consent of the subject(s) in the piece. Art of any original characters (OCs) must likewise have the permission of the owner.
- There are currently no restrictions on number of pieces you may hang yourself, and there's usually plenty of space, but if the show fills up, we may ask you to restrict yourself to two grid panels (4×6 feet).
Printing Pieces for You
We also offer printing services for those that want to share their art but don't have a printer or cannot attend in person. We can print up to 5 pieces for you for $5 each. If you are interested in this service, please indicate your interest in the art/photo show during registration, enter the number of pieces you want posted, and you will be charged during checkout. If you've already registered, no problem! Just log in and edit your registration. You may arrange with us in advance for a representative to retrieve your pieces after the event.
Pre-Registering Your Pieces
Whether you want us to print your pieces or you are bringing them yourself, we encourage you to pre-register your pieces. Pieces will be accepted at the convention, but pre-registering will allow us to print forms and place cards in advance to save time and effort at the con. Preregistration and file submissions are accepted for printing up until Thursday, December 18, 2025. After that, there's no guarantee we can get them printed and mounted in time for the convention. After that date, any pieces brought to the convention can be registered on site.
Accepted Formats
We hang drawings and prints on standard 2×6 foot grid panels. To hang on the grid displays, pieces should not be wider than 48×24 inches and in order to accommodate everyone, you are encouraged to stay below 24 inches wide. There is also wall space and tables, as well as room for easels, so if you would like to share something larger, we can accommodate that, but let us know in advance.
Tables are available for 3D pieces (e.g., sculptures).
Photos and art will be printed to a maximum dimension of 13×19 inches (the max size of
media a Canon Pixma Pro-10 can handle). Files for us to print must be of
sufficient resolution (300 ppi or higher) and we can accept a wide range of
formats, though PNG, JPG, BMP, SVG, and DNG are recommended. If you have a
different format, please contact us at
to see if it can be handled by our software.
All art that you bring yourself should be ready to hang. Ideally 2D art should have backing board and be matted and/or sleeved to keep it safe. We can provide backing boards and hanging hardware, but not mats or sleeves. All pieces must be labeled with the artist's/owner's name and name of the piece on the back.
Selling
If you would like to offer your pieces for sale, you may indicate this when registering them. If items are advertised as available for sale, please provide contact information to post with the pieces and handle any financial transactions directly. We will only sign out pieces to the persons that present them unless you, specifically, tell us otherwise. If you are engaging in sales that are non-casual and you do not have a UBI number, you must obtain one from the Department of Revenue. For temporary license holders, taxes are due 10 days after the conclusion of the event.
Abandoned Works
Works not claimed prior to the closing of the convention (4:00pm on Sunday, January 4, 2026) will be considered abandoned and may be discarded, given away, or placed into an auction benefitting a charity. If you cannot be present at the end of the convention to pick up your pieces, you must make prior arrangements with us to transfer them to a designated representative.
