Featured Charity: Sarvey Wildlife Care Center
Sarvey is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals in need with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats, and to foster greater appreciation of the uniqueness of each animal and the challenges they face.
The Center admits and cares for sick, injured, orphaned, displaced, and debilitated wild animals, totaling over 2000 patients each year from all across Washington state. Most arrive directly through the efforts of caring citizens, or through the work of a team of volunteers and staff. Care and treatment depend from the generous support of individual contributors, but no animal is ever turned away for lack of funds.
The Center also offers educational programs for schools and organizations about the natural history of local birds of prey, with emphasis on the importance of conservation. These opportunities give people a chance to connect to wildlife they might otherwise never see up-close.
Your support is especially valuable this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center has been unable to hold many events, which provide a large part of their budget for caring for animals in need. We encourage you to consider contributing to help keep the Center's work possible.
